This website is operated by Tuka Kontrakteurs BK (“Tuka”, “we”, “us”), a turn-key construction and fit-out contractor based in Bloemfontein, Free State, South Africa. Tuka is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website.

2. Information we collect

We only collect personal information you choose to give us, and a small amount of technical information needed to run the website safely.

• Enquiry details: your name, company, role, email address, phone number, project details, location, budget range and timing, and any files you attach.
• Correspondence: emails, calls and messages you exchange with us.
• Technical information: your IP address and basic browser information, which our hosting provider records in standard server logs. To prevent spam, the enquiry form temporarily records an anonymised reference to your connection for up to one hour.

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers when the page loads.

3. How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and discuss your project.
• To arrange site visits and prepare quotations or proposals.
• To manage and deliver work you appoint us to do.
• To keep this website secure and prevent misuse.
• To comply with our legal obligations.

We process your information based on your consent, because it is needed to take steps towards a contract you have asked about, or where we have a legitimate interest in doing so. We do not use your details for unrelated marketing, and we do not sell your information.

4. Who we share it with

Your information is shared only where needed for the purposes above:

• Our email and website hosting providers, which process it on our behalf.
• Designers, consultants or subcontractors, only where needed to assess or price your project.
• Authorities, where we are required to by law.

Anyone we share information with is expected to keep it confidential and secure.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiries submitted through this website are sent to us by email and are not stored on the web server. We keep your information only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires, after which it is securely deleted.

6. How we protect it

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please avoid sending highly sensitive information through the website.

7. Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to:

• ask whether we hold personal information about you, and request a copy of it;
• ask us to correct or delete your information;
• object to how we process your information, or withdraw your consent;
• lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
